How Foreign Garuda Pilot Salary?


VIVAnews -VIVAnews - Some pilots Tbk PT Garuda Indonesia will fly strike on Thursday, July 28, 2011. The strike was backed by the demands of differences in local salaries with foreign pilots.
Operations Director of Garuda Indonesia, Ari Sapari, explained the status of foreign pilots in the Garuda is merely a contract with the employment agreement for 12 months. During the period of employment, foreign pilots are receiving revenues denominated in U.S. dollars.
Garuda began to recruit foreign pilots since October 2010, and has done socialization since January 2011. At present, Garuda employs 43 contract pilots and 34 of them are foreign pilots.
Of the 43 pilots contract, 36 pilots will end its contract in the October-November 2011, and the remaining seven pilots will end in February 2012.
Foreign pilots only receive a salary with no other benefits like health insurance and insurance workers from PT Jamsostek (Persero). Other guarantees are not accepted foreign pilots is a personal accident and pension allowances during service.
Meanwhile, the local pilots receive a salary for a year at least 15 times. In addition to salary for 12 months, additional salaries of the pilots of Garuda from holiday allowance (THR), entered the educational benefits of each new, year-end incentives, and severance payments of annual leave with half of the salary scale.
Garuda pilot provides an alternative to the current status of permanent employee may apply to be a pilot with the status of the contract.
